Sprout Social : #OTD in 1783 - The first human flight in an untethered hot air balloon was made by two Frenchmen. The balloon, invented by the Montgolfier brothers, travelled about 5.5 miles in 25 minutes.

Sprout Social : #OTD in 2013 - The Minotaur 1 rocket made history after carrying the TJ3Sat into space - the 1st satellite designed & built by high schoolers. The rocket also carried the U.S. Air Forces STPSat-3, 28 cubesats & 2 non-separating tertiary payloads.
