Twitter Web Client : Pochettinos strong side get Spurs underway with a 2-1 win but Newcastle arguably had the better chances.

Can the team from North London mount a serious title challenge after not strengthening their squad over the summer.

That would be some story wouldnt it? #NEWTOT

Twitter Web Client : HT #NEWTOT 1-2

Thats what weve come to expect on the opening day of the Premier League. A great energetic half of football in the sun ends and if youre a Spurs fan, youll be hoping to get another goal to ease the nerves.

Still all to play for here...

Twitter Web Client : It's #NEWTOT in 20 minutes...

Kane has gone 13 games and 44 shots without scoring in August, can he make one count today?

We'll be live tweeting throughout the match, but we want to know your predictions first ⬇️⬇️⬇️

iPhone : This window could’ve been better, but it could’ve been a lot worse. Two 343 #THFC teams:

Or...

Kane.

I know who I’d rather on the day #COYS

Twitter Web Client : His tweet was "Our direct rivals in terms of size, prestige, budget etc are not Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool they're Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle, Leeds etc."

Twitter Web Client : Is he right? Should we realistically be looking at Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle, Leeds etc as rivals over Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and United? Hay your say...

#THFC #COYS #SPURS

Twitter Web Client : Eddy Finch Our direct rivals are the clubs we compete with...if you think our rivals are Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle and Leeds then you'd also be happy finishing mid-table, relegation, and the Championship?

Twitter Web Client : Jonsooon It is harsh, but against Newport was more him playing against poor opposition. As I said its all hypothetical and it swings both ways, Sanchez could have made more a difference in games Toby played. But you can't say that Sanchez is as good a player as Toby is yet.

Twitter Web Client : Who knows where we could have come if he had played more, versus Juventus when Sanchez got turned, and the FA Cup Semi Final...all hypothetical of course #THFC twitter.com/SniersMoregut/…

Twitter Web Client : Eddy Finch He's supposed to keep up with direct rivals, replace one of the best CBs before the start of the season, so we'll see with 5 days to go. But the point is more about becoming who we are and not taking that extra step, because in few years we might not be here again.

Twitter Web Client : We also understand how great this team and manager are, and as has been the case, we shouldnt underestimate an overachieving season again in 2018/19... #COYS ⚪️🔵

Twitter Web Client : In the end, we'll always get behind the team, staff and the players 100%, that is the torture of supporting your club like it's your own flesh and blood. We as fans enjoy the bad times as it accentuates the great moments.

Twitter Web Client : In years to come, as fans, we will obviously look back and remember how great this time has been...but if we don't attempt to progress, will you look and think, what if?...
