iPhone : I’m reading Ira Berlin and Leslie M. Harris’ book SLAVERY IN NEW YORK and one of the most unsettling realities of slavery in the early Dutch colonies is that a Black person could be freed, but that freedom would not be extended to their children. It’s devastating to read about.
