Twitter Web App : Water levels have been rising in Derby during the afternoon and evening causing a number of road closures in the city centre, particularly westbound from the Pentagon. Derby City Council's Twitter account has the latest on conditions within the city.

Twitter Web App : Temperatures are dropping throughout the county and this dip could lead to icy road surfaces for motorists across #Derbyshire tonight. Gritters are out spreading salt but we would caution anybody having to travel anywhere to take extra care and drive to the conditions.

The advice remains the same to avoid roads that are closed, and not to drive through flood waters or ignore road closed signs. These are in place for your safety.

Twitter Web App : We are continuing to urge drivers to plan driving routes that avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded, and if you live near a potential flood zone, to move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.

Twitter Web App : In addition to this, the #A61 is closed between the Pektron island and the #LittleEaton island whilst our partners remove horses from an adjoining field, following concerns for their safety.

Twitter Web App : Derby as a whole is facing severe traffic issues, the bus station is still open despite being evacuated earlier but all routes are facing major delays.

Twitter Web App : If you’re set to drive to #Derby from the M1, we would advise you find another route in to the city if you absolutely need to make the journey.

Twitter Web App : The #A52 westbound from the Pentagon is currently impassable due to flooding, any traffic heading in this direction will be diverted either towards Chaddesden or back on to the eastbound carriageway of the A52.
