iPhone : Apropos of nothing: The amount of $$ all these candidates have spent to get on this stage -- $32 million on Facebook alone -- could flip a dozen state legislative chambers.

iPhone : Investing in high-quality, early childhood education for our kids is one of the single most important steps we could take for the future prosperity of our state. #ncpol #ncga newsobserver.com/opinion/articl…

iPhone : “There’s a long list of things that Repubs have screwed up in NC since 2010,” Meyer said. “But if you had to rank the top 3, I’m pretty sure that UNC governance — not just for the univ, but for the whole system — would be among the top 3 biggest things that they’ve screwed up.”

iPhone : 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence, and the rate is even higher for women of color and LGBTQ individuals. There is a lot left to do to ensure there is zero tolerance for domestic violence, but with people like Aisha Gwynn leading the fight, we’re in good hands.

iPhone : And I feel for the first responders, court system professionals, and family services staff who are the first face victims see as they grapple with one of the most difficult moments of their life.

iPhone : Tonight, I was reminded of my early career as a crisis intervention social worker. The domestic violence calls were the toughest to work through. It’s so hard to find peace for the children, the mother, the family, when something so heartbreaking has happened.

iPhone : October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, a time to remember those impacted and come together to promote healthy relationships. This evening, I got the opportunity to attend the Domestic Violence Remembrance Vigil hosted by Family Services of Caswell County.

iPhone : Today, as #SCOTUS hears 3 cases that will determine LGBTQ rights in the workplace, I am reminded of the trio of equity bills we filed here in NC that have been blocked. I’m proud to stand with the LGTBQ community in the fight for full equality today and every day. #RiseUpOct8

iPhone : North Carolina may well determine the Presidency & US Senate in 2020, not to mention control of their state legislature. Looking for where you can make the most difference over the next 14 months, consider having Carolina on your mind! twitter.com/ilyseh/status/…

iPhone : It was great to join El Collectivo for their annual meeting. As usual, I found that LatinX community members are very well informed about the issues going on in N.C. They asked great questions about how to be strong advocates. twitter.com/hispanic_mama/…

Twitter Web App : $8.3 Billion? To other states. From our taxes. While people go without health care. Rural hospitals close. And just think how many jobs that would create. #wecandobetter #expandmedicaidnow

iPhone : This bill is 🗑. Not only does it hurt immigrants, it’s blatant voter suppression. Kudos to my Democratic colleagues for using floor debate to make it clear that the Republican sponsors don’t even know what their own bill does. #ncpol #ncga wral.com/bill-to-scrub-…
